A German designed sedan that speaks with a Southern Accent, the Volkswagen Passat is designed in Wolfsburg, Germany, but assembled in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Offered in two trim levels: Wolfsburg Edition and SE R-Line, both will be powered by a 2.0-liter Turbocharged and direct injected four-cylinder engine that delivers 174 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

With a lot of power also comes a lot of safeties: Every new Passat includes Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (front assist), Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Traffic Alert as standard features.

The Wolfsburg Edition includes 17-inch wheels, a 6.3-inch touchscreen monitor with Volkswagen Car-Net App-Connect technology with voice control. There is also an optional Wheel and Roof package which at $1,000 offers 18-inch wheels and a power tilt-and-slide sunroof.

The SE R-Line includes interior and exterior sports trim plus LED lighting, Discover Media infotainment with Navigation, ambient lighting, Easy Open trunk, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, park distance control and Fender premium audio.

Outside looking in, the wide four-bar chrome grille helps to give the Passat a planted feel that looks like it can take all comers at front. Heading towards the back, owners will appreciate the European-styled rear that gives the car a lower and enhanced rear view.

Inside, the Passat is equipped with Volkswagen's Car-Net connectivity which features three key areas: App-Connect, Security & Service, and Guide & Inform. The App-Connect feature includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for added convenience.
